Autumn Fire Pajama Class
Marker and Colored Pencil
March 5, 2021
Time: 8 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time (6 hours)
Limited to 30 students
Mixed media! And a gorgeous image, to boot. What a treat you're in for with Autumn Fire.
Creating this hauntingly beautiful art is well within your reach with Andie's expertise as your guide. She'll show you how to dramatically speed up the layering process by incorporating marker into your work.
Colored pencil and markers work beautifully together: one covering quickly and the other offering detail and refinement. It's a great skill to add to your arsenal of colored pencil techniques. You'll also learn Andie's magical "pencil dust" technique for creating soft, moody backgrounds. Don't miss this world class pajama class!
Here's what you'll learn in this workshop:
When and how to use marker as a base for your colored pencil work
How to suggest rugged tree bark using "resistant color"
How to create an atmospheric background with "pencil dust"
After this workshop, you’ll be ready to try what you've learned with your own art!
Come to class in your pajamas!
You'll get Andie's personal guidance as you interact with her in real time, ask questions, and more text.
Andie is a colored pencil enthusiast who never tires of the artistic possibilities of this medium! As owner of Beech Tree Studio, Andie is continuously coaching, stretching, and encouraging other artists to expand their use of colored pencil into imaginative applications and combinations.
