Learn to Create Luminous Whites in Colored Pencil

Have you ever tried to draw something white in colored pencil? Snow? A rose? A fluffy kitten? To create a lustrous, shimmering white, you need to do more than just leave the paper surface free of color. In this Radiant Swan Pajama Class, you will learn how to break down and balance the prism of color to create whites that glow.

Starting with drawing a simple pearl earring, you’ll first learn and practice Andie’s techniques for creating luminous whites. Then, with new skills in hand, you’ll draw a classic, white swan as Andie leads you each step of the way with her warm, gentle direction. We know you will enjoy the discovery, and art of creating “white” together! Recommended for all experience levels.

Here's what you'll learn in this workshop:

  • How to create luster and a luminous quality with colored pencils

  • How to to find reflection and refracted color

  • Drawing a white subject on white paper

  • Have fun and learn new techniques from an award-winning artist!

Come to class in your pajamas!

Andie will take you one step at a time as you draw this elegant swan together. There's nothing like seeing it happen right before your eyes - nothing like being able to ask questions live and get answers. You'll get Andie's personal guidance as you interact with her in real time, ask questions and get her feedback.
